A few weeks back, the movie Benares was released in Mauritius. It was advertised as the "first Mauritian movie". So out of curiosity, I went to have a look.
Comments: Not bad. Basically it's just a long trip by road for 2 guys looking for some girls to spend the night with. But why was it rated as 18??? I honestly don't know – strong language??? Well it's nothing that a 15 year old would not have heard.
Anyway it's not a masterpeice but worth a look. So go see it if you can. It's high time we encourage our Mauritian cinematographers.
