I was installing WindowsXP on a PC the other day. Everything was supposed to work fine and it did, for a start until the installation reached “Setup is starting Windows” where it just stalled. Tried many successive reboots but to no avail, the system just hanged there.
So, had to consult Google. After going through several forums that said things like memory problem, hard disk problem, processor problem, i managed to find the solution, it’s more of a hack to me.
So the great solution was: when the installation says “press F6 to load raid…”, just press F5. After some time, a screen will appear with some options about different types of PC. I chose “standard PC with … i486″ and the installation proceeded. Everything worked fine and WindowsXP is happily running on the PC.
Once again Miyazaki has done it; another masterpiece has come out of the Ghibli studio. “Kiki est une bouffe d’air frais”. It’s so light and nice to watch the adventures of a young with as she has to leave home to go on her training for a year. She faces loneliness, rejection (coz she is different) and eventually ends up doubting her powers – eventually losing them. Watch the movie to see how it all happen and learn the rest of the story.
Also, Jiji the cat is so funny.
However, for good or worse, we don’t see the spirits that inhabit the world of Princess Mononoke or Spirited away.
Loved it.
Can you imagine images coming out of your screen? Well this is what autostereoscopic displays promise and they are already doing it (even more interesting, you won’t need any special glasses to see the 3D images).
Now let’s push that a bit further. Just imagine you are playing DOOM3 alone in your room at night, the sound is at its max (u r wearing headphones of course). U’ve been walking through a pitch dark corridor, everything is deadly silent – so silent that u can hear your avatar breathing and suddenly a monster jumps on you! Awesome – can it get better than that in terms of gaming experience?

So let’s hope that these screen come out here soon at affordable prices – it will be the gamer’s heaven or hell if it’s DOOM3.
